Overview of Courses
Details of all courses are found on the website and in the round booklet. Enrolment is made via the Course Preference System on the PEAC website. At least one course preference needs to be entered however it is recommended that students enter four preferences to increase their chance of being placed into a course. Please do not select courses previously completed at PEAC.

Process of notification
- Email to home schools, including a document to distribute to parents
- Notification on the North Metro PEAC Website
- Email to parents (this is a courtesy back up email, sent to the primary email address which has been provided by parents to PEAC)
Course Costs
PEAC courses are self funding and course charges range from a minimum of $10 up to $100 depending on course requirements, such as:
- use of an external venue
- incursions/excursions
- specialist teachers eg chess, cartooning
- materials and additional resources
- consumables
- clerical support

Procedures
Absentee Notification
If a child does not attend a PEAC session, parents are to notify the;
- Child’s home school AND
- PEAC Teacher
Parents are required to inform the enrolled school that their child will not be attending PEAC on the prescribed day and provide the school with a valid reason for non‐attendance.
Parents are also required to inform the PEAC teacher of the reason for non‐attendance, preferably before the session.
Arrival and Collection Times
Students are to arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to the session commencing.
Students are to be collected promptly at the end of the session.
Please check the course times on the Course Overview or with the PEAC teacher.
NOTE: Often teachers have to travel to another venue at the end of a session and they are unable to supervise beyond the set times.
Venue Drop Off and Pick Up
Drop Off: There must be a handover of responsibility for the child from the transport provider to the teacher.
Pick Up: There must be a handover of responsibility for the child from the teacher to the transport provider.
Students will not be released to parents until the teacher has sighted the transport provider.
Parents are responsible for providing safe and legal transport to and from the venue.
Students are not permitted to travel unaccompanied at any time to reach or depart the venue.
For students attending PEAC at their home school
Students must first attend their regular classroom if the course commences after the school start time and return to their regular classroom if the course finishes before the end of the school day. Students must not travel unaccompanied outside of the school start and finish times.
