Course Overview
Every champion was once a beginner. Master opening tricks, tactical combos and checkmate patterns to outsmart your opponent move by move. Along the way, you’ll analyse legendary games from greats like Carlsen, Kasparov, Fischer and Polgar.
It’s a great course to work with others in, finding new moves together and helping each other improve, it’s not just about winning. Play and discuss with classmates, swap ideas and tips, then jump onto the computer to challenge an AI opponent and spot your mistakes to improve even faster. Already in a chess club? Sharpen your edge. Brand new to the game? No stress, the goal is simple: walk out better than you walked in.
You will also design your own highly strategic board game, then put it into action as classmates play, test and evaluate each other’s games during a dedicated Game Day.
It all wraps up with the Grand Final Tournament, a fun way to put everything you’ve learned into action.
