Course Overview
Ever wondered what’s actually happening inside your computer when you click a button, open a game, or run a program? In this course, you’ll go behind the screen and discover how digital technology really works – by building it, designing it, and programming it yourself.
You’ll start by pushing PowerPoint way beyond its limits – using a tool never designed for it to engineer a fully interactive quiz game from scratch. Applying real graphic design principles – layouts, colour theory, visual effects, and sound – you’ll hack a presentation app into something your audience will actually want to play. If you love art and design, this is where your creativity takes centre stage.
Next, you’ll think like a data analyst and puzzle-maker, using Excel to construct original logic puzzles powered by real mathematical formulas. You’ll use logic, patterns, and problem-solving to build something that genuinely challenges others.
Then comes the moment most people never get – you’ll open up a real PC and explore its internal components with your own hands, before working as a team to assemble a fully functioning computer from parts. The skills you build here are exactly what students study in high school Digital Technologies and design courses.
