Course Overview
Take on real world engineering challenges as you develop your design, technical and construction skills. In this course, you will investigate what makes structures such as towers and bridges strong and enduring, exploring how engineering solutions are tested and refined over time. Thinking like an engineer, you will engage in the Engineering Design Process to plan, create and test innovative structures using everyday materials, analysing performance and improving your designs through iteration. You will justify your decisions using scientific and mathematical principles while collaborating with others to solve complex problems.
This course extends your thinking by challenging you to apply knowledge in practical contexts, evaluate solutions and develop creative, resilient approaches to engineering design.
