Course Overview
What if you could invent the next great sport? In this course, you will design and create your own original game from the ground up, exploring how sports are structured through equipment, rules, scoring systems and playing environments. Thinking like both a designer and an athlete, you will investigate what makes a sport fair, engaging and strategic, and how rules influence player experience and decision making. You will test, refine and improve your game through trial and feedback, making purposeful adjustments to enhance playability and inclusivity.
This course extends your thinking by challenging you to apply creativity, teamwork and critical thinking to design with intent, evaluate effectiveness and develop a sport that is innovative, balanced and built for real players.
