Course Overview
Have you ever wanted to launch a rocket? In this course we’ll explore the history
and science of rocketry, from their beginnings in 13th-century China to the
advanced designs and materials used in modern-day space exploration.
Students will start by learning about the laws of motion and what makes rockets
go as well as exploring what factors make for the best water rocket. Then
students will design, build and launch their own model rockets. Could this be the
first PEAC group to send a rocket to space? Probably not, but we can still give it
a go!
