Course Overview
What happens when a world is forgotten? In this exciting course, students will become explorers, archaeologists, historians and investigators as they uncover some of history’s greatest mysteries. From the legendary lost city of Atlantis and the mysterious Nazca Lines to abandoned civilisations, shipwrecks and hidden treasures, students will examine clues, analyse evidence and evaluate competing theories. Through inquiry, mapping, problem-solving, and creative design challenges, students will investigate how geography, culture, technology, and human decisions have shaped societies over time. Students will develop their own inquiry into a lost world or historical mystery of interest before creating and defending a lost world of their own, combining evidence, critical thinking and imagination.
