Course Overview
What if it turns out that the greatest magical illusions are just brilliant mathematics in disguise? In this course, you will uncover the maths of magic, and find the magic in maths. Working with items like playing cards, dominoes, and dice, you will explore, analyse, practice, create and perform tricks. The challenge lies in decoding the hidden numerical logic behind the illusions, requiring you to adapt, take intellectual risks, and respond to unexpected outcomes when a trick doesn’t quite go to plan. Thinking like both a rigorous mathematician and a captivating performer, you will experiment, refine, and rework your methods while building resilience and confidence in the face of challenges.
This course extends your thinking by helping you develop the mindset needed to navigate tricky, multi-step problems. Intense brain power and practice will be required for you to become, and perform as, the ultimate mathmagician!
