Course Overview
In this inquiry-based science unit, students investigate the invisible world that shapes life on Earth. Through scientific investigations, modelling, observations, and research, students explore microorganisms, fungi, soil ecosystems, atoms, elements, molecules, and the structure of matter. They examine how microscopic processes influence health, food production, medicine, industry, and the environment while developing an understanding of how scientists use evidence and models to explain phenomena that cannot be observed directly. Students apply scientific inquiry and critical thinking to investigate authentic global challenges and propose evidence-based solutions.
