Course Overview
Come on a journey into the underwater world of AQWA and explore the unique ecosystems of Western Australia’s Coral Coast. In this course, you will investigate the fascinating marine life that inhabits this region, using observation and research to deepen your understanding of how these environments function. Thinking like both a scientist and an author, you will gather information, analyse key features of texts and transform your knowledge into engaging factual storybooks. You will make deliberate choices about structure, language and presentation to communicate complex ideas clearly and creatively. This course extends your thinking by challenging you to synthesise information, connect scientific understanding with storytelling and craft high-quality texts for an authentic audience. Two excursions to AQWA are planned during this course.
