Course Overview
A course for Lord of the Rings, fantasy, and history nerds alike! Put on your walking shoes as we go on a journey with Tolkien’s Hobbits from the Shire all the way to the fiery pits of Mordor. We will explore the methods Tolkien used to construct not just a story, but an entire history and mythology using the books ‘The Hobbit’ and ‘The Lord of the Rings’. Students will get to create their own book to display all of their work, which will include writing stories, illustrating creatures and beasts, and even experimenting with creating their own language!
