Course Content
Do you love music? Do you find yourself singing along to all of the lyrics? This course gives you the opportunity to listen to a wide variety of songs from different genres. Use your love of music and of language to explore and analyse the literary elements in the lyrics of songs. Take a tour of music and lyrics throughout modern history. Explore how history has influenced music and music has influenced history. You will research a person, event or era related to a song of your choice and perhaps even write a song or poem of your own, incorporating your newfound insights into the power of the written (spoken, sung) word.
