The Storycraft course involves students writing a short story and then bringing their tale alive in the virtual world of Minecraft. Although the creative writing element of the course could be partly undertaken at home, the Minecraft component has only been completed in the classroom… up till now.
With the recent postponement of face-to-face classes, we were presented with a new challenge of finding a way to continue this much anticipated part of the course remotely. With research, technical skills, perseverance and some flexibility in our timetables, students have been successfully working on their Minecraft projects at home over the past week.
It has been wonderful to see students continue to collaborate on their projects in their Minecraft world; building, planning, learning and even chatting as they work together.
Here are some latest shots of the students in action building their story settings.
