Thank you to all of the teachers that participated in the recent 4 part Professional Learning Series.
60 participants from over 30 schools attended and the feedback was overwhelmingly positive.
I have a greater understanding of how these students can present and practical ways to cater for them plus enhance my teaching overall.
The workshops were very informative and interesting. I liked how the information/ ideas presented in the PL will support not only the top end, but all students.
I valued all of it. It was good having the opportunity to have a little try at using some resources in a different way. It was also valuable attending this PL with Year 1 colleagues as we discussed future plans and ideas. I also found that the Habits of Mind affirmed my teaching pedagogy and approaches as I focus in both my teaching and coaching of others on problem solving, reasoning, creative thinking, the value of making mistakes etc
I liked the characteristics of top-end students as these will assist me in identifying top-end students more readily in the future. The P4C and the Habits of Mind as they can be implemented in all class contexts, which is wonderful.
Really interesting PL that I have not have got this information in any other professional learning opportunity. I found this one really specific and wonderful.
We look forward to planning and delivering more professional learning opportunities in the future.
