Course Overview
In ‘Discovering Doctor Who’, fans old and new are invited to metaphorically hop aboard the TARDIS for an interplanetary journey across the galaxies. Students create a Doctor, foe and scenario for a new episode.
They investigate the origins and various incarnations of the extraterrestrial Time Lord responsible for this international phenomenon of space and other dimensions. They delve back in time and research the real life current affairs and world events which could potentially influence their new script.
A special effects (SFX) make-up artist teaches the students how to create convincing latex masks, like those used on the program. The course culminates with a Doctor Who exhibition, designed to engage and enthrall visitors to PEAC. Sonic screwdrivers at the ready!
