Art of Science

Can bacteria be beautiful? Is there such a thing as a virus with vibrancy? This course is for those who like to break the boundaries. Who says that art and science have to be separate? Certainly not Leonardo da Vinci!

Let your passion and knowledge of science inspire you to produce a work of art. Work with light or sound, or heat, even bubbles, to create works of art. How can you demonstrate your understanding of a field of science in a creative and beautiful way?

You will provide an in-depth explanation of the science behind your art and produce an exhibit for the expo in the final week of the course. One session will run at the University of WA in Nedlands and include a workshop at the SymbioticA laboratory.
