How small is an atom? How big is the sun? In this course we strive to understand the relative size of all things and learn the simplicity and beauty of scientific notation; how enormously large and incredibly small numbers can be written and read with ease.
What is a light year and how is it measured? How do we measure the size of a cell? Visit the Scitech planetarium to view the enormity of the cosmos, then scale down and view the beautiful complexity of living things through a microscope.
Your project will be to design and build a scale model of challenging proportions! Be struck with awe at the scale and beauty of our universe.
